I watched a thing on TV the other day about a fellow that has a full time job but still spends another 6-8 hours each day just entering competitions and living off the winnings basically.

Do you enter competitions?

Where do you enter?

Been lucky?

I used to enter any competition I could! I don't have the time these days, and am picky about the prizes eg Flight Centre had a FABULOUS James Bond holiday competition - travel prize about $70,000 but it was only for 2 adults and I thought we could not afford to take the kids if we won, so I did not bother entering it.

The last one I won was a 25WOL (there can't have been any other entries, LOL, I suck at those).

I have won a few, but no really fabulous prizes. The ones I win tend to be just luck, no skill required ...

I entered one a few months back while surfing EB.

I generally steer clear of the 25 WOL ones as I suck at them too but I had a cute story so added it for lols and thought nothing of it only to get a message congratulating me on being one of the lucky winners. biggrin.gif

It was a My Little Pony train and tickets to see the movie.

My girls were stoked at the prize but unfortunately the movie ended just after I received the tickets so we missed out.

Dodged a bullet methinks as I was dreading the thought of sitting through a MLP movie. cool.gif

My mum enters a lot of comps, That's Life etc, and has the occasional small win.

Last year she was at a Health and Fitness expo and she won a trip to Bali for 2 adults and 2 kids.

She was so excited but the travel agent has stuffed her around so much she's all but given up on it.
I keep telling her to chase it up but it's left such a sour taste in her mouth and she's over it.
Such a shame as my folks have never traveled out of Australia and I'm sure they'd love it.

Wish I had her luck. The only other thing I've ever won was a boogie board on the chocolate wheel at my brothers yr 6 fete, over 20 yrs ago.

I like cats, but I couldn't eat a whole one.
I never enter competitions. I'm too suspicious of things that look like they're free.

Loving my little princess.....
I've entered a few, but I don't bother with ones that the prize isn't something I'd use.

I don't enter overseas holiday ones....I don't fly Tounge1.gif

Sarah and I used to do thats life and take 5 together to help her learn...she was actually pretty good. And I was hoping she'd win something too! Never did!

Have entered quite a few over the years but only ever managed to win a surf wallet and a Wallabies rugby flag. Last year I did win an esky and some beach towels in a competition my bank was running. My cousin went to a travel agent six weeks ago to ask about flights to NZ and ended up winning a complete NZ holiday for two (flights, car, hotels + cash).

Yes I do and reckon everyone should as everyday people really do win them. I have won a video camera (about 18 years ago so a very impressive prize then) when making a purchase at a liquor store. I also won what I consider the prize of a lifetime when I bought a NZ$130 Hills clothes line (was an NZ and Aussie wide comp) and I won a trip for 4 adults to Disneyland (LA) (flying from regional NZ); 5 nights at the Sheraton; 4 x 3 day adult passes and NZ$6K spending money - was so exciting although taking a 1 and 2 year old was a bit tiring. Always worth entering competitions. In case you couldn't already guess I still love telling people about this prize and it was 3 years ago now. Enter away!

ive entered a lot, only ever win small prizes such as board shorts, footballs, records (yeah they were a long time ago). My dad wins good prizes, the 2 that im thinking of was a trip to Paris and a 10kg block of cadbury chocolate (took us a year to eat it and he gave away heaps of it).
You've got to be in it to win it!
