Electronic items broken in our house in the past 12 months:

1. Laptop keyboard (wine spilled, was replaced)
2. Kindle (cracked screen)
3. laptop (cracked screen)
4. iphone (dropped in water)
5. netbook (cracked screen)

What the hell is going on????? And...the same person responsible each time.

grrrrrrrrr

How are all these screens being cracked?!

Are they trying to walk around with them? balancing them on an uneven surface? can you put rules in place to avoid those situations?

PS, I too would be p*ssed!

one was cracked at work

kindle was stepped on - it had fallen off a chair outside unnoticed, whilst the 'responsible' adult was helping the child do something

netbook was stepped on - it had been put on the floor next to the bed, whilst the 'responsible' adult was pulling back covers or something and then they stepped back onto it

If it were I, I would put it down to trying to do too many things at once, I have been known to put things in the strangest places and realise after the damage has occurred that perhaps I shouldn't have put it there.

Heh, uhm. Sounds a bit careless, yes. Electronics + floor = bad idea.

I had a feeling, lol...

I break electronics as well, and sensed the vibe. I have only ever once cracked a screen (phone) but I seem to break things just by using them, or plugging them in wrong, and yeah, have done the wine on the keyboard thing, as well as coffee on keyboard.

You could try putting them in protective covers - I had to get DSs both snap on hard cover things for their laptops as they were constantly dropping etc.

Glad I'm not the only one who breaks everything.

Not always my fault but often.
