Yesterday at Kmart in Tuggeranong (Canberra) I saw that they had a table full of Skylanders - Spyros Adventures figures on sale for $5 each. These figures will also work for the Skylanders Giants game.

There may be the same discount in other Kmarts.

they're at Belco and QBN as well (tuggers and belco have the same ones, QBN had different, but not heaps)

They have them at my local Kmart too. They are series 1 that most people have I am guessing. They haven't gotten the latest wave of the Giants series which have been out for a week now.

There is also a third series coming out late October (same time as the last two) called Skylanders Swap Force - the characters are interchangeable - all 40 of them! So, more money!! lol

thank you!! found them this arvo at our kmart in nsw. we only just got the original starter pack, so these are great for us. toys r us still have the 3 packs for $29, so 6 for the same price is a good buy!

just a question for those that know all skylanders - do you need all 32 characters?

I was told you only need one of each element from the first game to get through both games. You don't actually need Giants at all.

Was just reading up on Swap Force thanks to Chocolate Addict and series 1 figures will work in that. So if you are new to Skylanders this is a great way to get into the game. My son didn't seem that keen to get the new figures up to level 15...just wanted to know what they did. We haven't bought figures from the first game that are repositioned for Giants.

Thanks for that. My DS must have seen them on some website and was asking about them. He is not happy he has to wait to October but at least now he will stop bugging me.

EB Games has a good deal for PS3 and Xbox right now where you get the original Spyro's adventure pack and the portal owner pack of Giants for $79. Great value if you are just being dragged into this money pit!

I have found they are more expensive on Amazon USA than they are on UK so you might not get any bargains in America! lol

You don't need all the bazillion figures but they all have different powers. I think, as above, you need at least one of each element.

My son is addicted so has them all, well, all series one except Boomer and Ghost Roaster - they are impossible to find and go for over $80 on ebay (Australian/USA and Uk versions). - so, if anyone is selling either, let me know! Lol
