We have 2 boys (Ben and Harry) and are having boy #3 in a week. We can't decide between Sam and Ted. Is Sam to boring? Is Ted too childlike? Help!!

My DH is Edward but has been called Ted by everybody since a baby and he is 35 so i dont think to childish lol... but it is more uncommon these days.

Sam was on my list too but we went with Edward with nn Ted.

Ted is not childlike at all and I don't think Sam is boring.... not much help but I like both and think either would work.
I would choose Ted if pushed though as it's less used and I like its style. |

While both are nicknames only for me I think it would be much easier to live life as just Sam than as just Ted.

I like Ted as a nickname for Theodore but not Ted by itself so in this case I'd say Sam.
