Hi
Was wondering whether you lovely ladies could help me. What sort of baby monitor did you get for your twins (if you got one). Just wanting some ideas...is there one that you can get specifically for twins. Twins will be sleeping on separate mattresses but in the same cot. I am asking for a friend of mine (he is the pop) and wanting to buy a few presents for his daughters twins and this is one of the gifts he thought of. If someone was going to buy a gift for your twins when they were born (regardless of cost)...what do you wish it was. Thanks in advance for your suggestions/advice. Cheers Tako |

Hi, we have an Oricom monitor that also shows room temp.
I don't think there are special twin monitors. We use ours a lot as we sit outside after the kids have gone to bed. |

We also use an Oricom monitor. We got the video one which was helpful with twins when they were in the same cot because you could look and see which one was crying!
I don't understand how you can have two mattresses in the one cot? Best thing I got for the twins was actually something that someone lent me - a baby swing. I didn't use a baby swing with my other bubbies as I just picked them up when they were grizzly. As you can't always do that with two babies the swing has been invaluable - in fact I went and bought a second one on Ebay. The other thing I had which was handy for twins was a Double Cuddle feeding pillow to enable one person to bottle feed two babies at once. |

We had an Angelcare monitor with apnoea mat as one of mine was prone to desating. They shared a cot and one had the mat. The mat got used for a few weeks until we got so sick of the alarm going off because we would forget to disconnect before picking her up.....lol!
However it did its job brilliantly. For us it was the best monitor in the world and I was so sad when it bit the dust when they were 3 years old.... |

The baby swings saved my sanity when I had my twins.

Hi. We have the Luvion Grand Elite with 2 cameras. It is the most awesome monitor and whilst I thought my Swann single camera monitor was fantastic, this one is awesome.
You can attach up to 4 cameras if you need to. We have 2 cameras as my DD and new baby are in separate rooms. You can order it online through www.babymonitorsdirect.com.au |
