Hi,

My DS started school this year and we bought the uniform. However, he has come home with a skin rash after wearing his poly/cotton school shirt (we washed it before wear). We think the itchy rash is from sweating, as he usually only wears pure cotton.

Does anyone know where we can buy a pure cotton short sleeve white collar shirt? I've looked everywhere I can think of, but they are all a blend.

Thanks so much.

Had a really quick look online but could only find long-sleeved ones from the UK - have you done a detailed internet search?

Have you tried a cotton undershirt?

Hope you find something that helps.

Cotton singlet while you are looking.

Poor baby - I can't wear man made materials, some people just don't get it.... awful when they are the uniform police!

DP copped a mouthful at his service club this week when the 'social club organiser' was trying to get him to order a shirt for me as well "Nah mate, Countrymel couldn't wear one, she can't wear that kind of material.." was greeted with a "What a load of bullsh*t!"

Do a search using 'organic' in the title perhaps?

Thanks so much for the replies and having a look for me. I did look on the internet but also only found long sleeved ones from the UK. I'll look again more closely.

As it is only my DS's first year at school, he has never had to wear a poly/cotton blend before (pure cotton was advised by our GP when he was younger, as he has had eczema in the past). I"m just amazed that it is so difficult to find pure cotton school shirts!
Hopefully I can at least find one o/s!
The singlet idea is good. Thanks for that!
