I am a bit of a Block tragic cool.gif , so have been looking forward to this show so much. Am itching to do some painting around the house.

What did everyone think of the first room reveal?
I thought Josh and Jennas was too understated. Neutral on neutral on neutral.
The tradies room was a bit much. Not sure about that huge chair? I did love the clock though.
I know Dan and Dani got canned for doing similar stuff to last year, and also the workmanship was not up to scratch. I love the art work they used though.
Phil and Amity did ok I think..but nothing that really stood out.

Hard to pick a winner this week imo...but gee this show gets the creative, renovation ideas and dreams happening original.gif. It must make Adairs, and Bunnings rub their hands together biggrin.gif.

I adore those old coloured glass windows they are restoring *sigh* <3 .

I love The Block Allstars.
We are selling our house and hopefully buying soon so I am looking for ideas.
Nothing has grabbed my attention yet but with only one room done so far I sure that will change.
I only started watching The Block last year.
I liked the tradies room - I would change the yellow (just not my colour) I like the chair but don't really think it fits in the room.
I liked Phil and Amity's bed and linen.
Loved the colours used in Dan and Dani's.I love colour.
Josh and Jenna - I agree with it being too understated and neural on neutral.

I have a few real living magazines from last year that had rooms from the block. Will have to see if they do it again this year.

I think they should be ashamed of themselves for destroying so much reusable material and showing so much disregard for the heritage of the building.

protart roflcopter - I agree with you with the challenge last night. If they wanted to do a challenge like that why not go to the tip shop or council hard rubbish and find things to change. The old bike was $900. What a waste. I can't remember which one it was but another was $1900.

Phil could of used the whole floor to make furniture or something.

I like the tradies are trying to reuse as much as they can.

I am watching the show for decorating ideas not for the contestants or challenges.

I am with Rollercoaster as well. While I like the block, I have followed a few series now but I don't like the way it has changed and I think this time around they could have done it a lot better imo. The first room challenge, both DH and I felt was rigged. I would have thought the tradies would have won and I was gobsmacked to see that they didn't! It was just so stupid so I am looking with interest to see who wins the next one. The kiddies room/bunk bed idea sounds really awesome so I will be watching that one closely!

I am a big fan of the two tradie boys style so far - they have the right idea and I said to DH I would have LOVED their bedroom style in our bedroom. The only thing I would have changed was yes the chair lol biggrin.gif it did make the room a bit cluttered but the rest of the room really flowed well - I even liked the big clock and it's not normally my kind of style!!

The colour scheme was surprisingly really nice. It matched up really well. I am a big fan of dark colours with the odd splash of bright colour so I am going to keep that in mind for when we do up our rooms.

I think Josh and Jenna do have the right idea but their style is too simple for me, I like a splash of colour and more out there ideas. I get bored easily with simple styles.

What did everyone think of the second room reveal?

I liked the look of Mark and Duncan's but the bed will be a pain to make. My kids have study bunks and they are a pain to make. Also I would probably walk into the corner of the bed.
My favourite was Phil and Amity's. I would change the green though.

Bathroom week this week and it looks like they have all ripped up the 100 year old floor boards and trashed them. ohmy.gif sad.gif
