So DH and I are trying for bub #4 and we have already had a boys name picked since having DS but we are thinking of girls names.
We are thinking along the lines of *Matilda *Charli Imogen *Taylah Scarlett (although this probably won't work with our surname) Indigo (we love this but we know its always going to be shortened to Indi which we love but too close to our DD2 names) So our fav 3 are the 3 with the starts next to them. Middle name will most likely be Elle Would love to hear others thoughts Please if you know me don't mention this post to others as we prefer to keep the names to oursleves outside of Essential Baby, Thanks |

If you love Indigo, use it and don't worry what other people "might" shorten it to. Doesn't mean you have to.
My oldest daughter has a 3 syllable name that can be shortened (which makes it into a completely different, but still very nice name). I have never called her by her shortened name, although most of her friends do. Funnily enough, when they are speaking to me about her, they call her by the full version. Our family and extended family also call her the full version, although sometimes when speaking directly to her, will use the shortened version. Her name, as far as I'm concerned, is the name I gave her at birth and the name I call her every day. The other name is just what her friends call her and is just a nickname. |

Scarlett, Imogen, Indigo and Matilda are all good but it's hard for me to know whether they're too similar to your other kids names without knowing their names because for me if Indi is too close to anothers name, Indigo and Imogen could be too.

We probably haven't got the same taste in names. However I do like Scarlett and Imogen.
Of the two Scarlett works better with MN Elle. I actually don't think any of the other names work with Elle. Clear pick is Scarlett. |
