I'm looking for some ideas for the main course for a forthcoming dinner party. It will be warm, and I would like to pre-prepare as much as possible.
For entree I am thinking of a salmon terrine, and then a homemade lemon-lime tart with a great icecream for dessert. I'm not a big fan of anything casserole'ish for the main - something with lamb cutlets or beef fillet, that plates up well, is more my style for this occasion. Will also have access to plenty of fresh basil, watercress, tomatoes etc. Any ideas - with links to recipes - would be greatly appreciated. |

Entree and main sound delicious!
I would do middle eastern lamb perhaps? A nice big pile of couscous with nuts, raisins, spices, herbs etc (I use Greg Malouf's cookbooks for middle eastern). Can be prepared in advance. Add some lovely grilled lamb seasoned with some dukkah (my DH makes his own - it's cheaper and easy) and a fattoush salad (sp?) on the side with lots of fresh tomato, herbs, lettuce and sumac. Delish. |
