My husband used Curash teeting gel on the weekend for an ulcer on his tongue as it said on the tube suitable for adults as well as babies. When he applied it he said it stung so badly for 5 minutes that he just about wanted to scream it was that bad! I just wanted to share this with parents in case you use these gels on your babies when teething and they get a strong reaction to it and start screaming. My husband told me please do not use this on our child as it would be torture!

How odd. I use the Curash gel on DS daily, never had an issue.

OP, an ulcer is an open infection. Of course the gel is going to hurt. I have used Bonjela for years on ulcers and it always hurts to start with. I also use it on babies and they lick it off my finger!
Teething is not an open infection. It is sore gums. The gel numbs it. Totally different. Your baby will be fine. Your DH on the other hand, is a big girls blouse. I feel sorry for you when he gets man flu This post has been edited by Ehill: 11/02/2013, 01:18 PM |
