Hi
Baby No2 is due in 8 days, and we still haven't thought of a name. With No1 it was a lot easier. Knew if was a girl and got it down to 2 names. Amber or Emelia. When she was born she had a full head of dark hair, so Amber was just not appropriate and she therefore became Emelia Faye. And it suits her perfectly, she is now 2 years old and i could never imagine her being named anything else.

He little brother is now due anyday and we are struggling to decide on a couple of names that we really like. I am worried he will remain nameless for quite a few days.

I want something to compliment his older sister. Don't want something really common, or too old fashioned. As you can see with Emelia we like to put a twist on it to be a little different.

Middle name will be John, as it is a family thing. So far we have

Dylan John Carroll
Aidan John Carroll
Ethan John Carroll
Myles John Carroll

Hubby really likes Myles, this was a new one only added recently. I have always preferred Dylan, but the more i think about it the more i am going off it.

Any opinions on the above or any new suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Wow, you did well with Emilia Faye. Really like that.

All your names are fine. I like Ethan but it might be too common for you.
I do like Myles/Miles but I'm fussy and don't think it is perfect with MN John but it's OK.

Other thoughts:

Sebastian
Felix
Inigo
Elias
Reuben
Tobias
Phineas
Bruno
Lincoln
Magnus
Fabian
Julian

I like Dylan, but I am biased as My bub is named Dylan. The name isn't common for this generation of babies. Ethan is in the top 10 at the moment. I like Aiden too. I don't like Myles, it just sounds nerdy to me (I added that because there was a thread the other day about whether names conjure up an image about associated personalaties).

I think out of all the ones listed Miles goes best and less common. I like all the other names but they are all pretty common

could you use Johnathon as a mn to help flow a little better with some names

I was going to suggest Lewis but then thought of your surname

Benjamin

I like John and I like Jonathon but please don't cross the streams! Johnathon makes my eyes cross.

I like Miles but not sure of Miles John.

I like Aidan John a lot, but I like the nickname A.J. so that's my bias.

I would just use John as a middle name as this is my dads MN, my father in laws MN, also my bro-in-laws names so we thought it would be nice to pick that.
Dylan, Aidan or Myles then.
Maybe i will just take those names into the hispital with me and see what he suits.
Thought of another one last night, Oscar John Carroll.
I liked Lewis as well but yes it is a bit weird with our surname, people may think i'm a doted fan! LOL.
I recently dismissed Brody John, due to initials and also Mason John as people keep telling me of links to the Kardashians which i hate!
Thanks for opinions.

My pick is Oscar. Oscar and Emilia. Very nice. Oscar John Carroll. Very nice. Oscar. Very nice!

You might like the spelling Oskar for your little 'twist'.

lol, Dylan and Aidan are on our shortlist, and I've also floated Myles and Ethan Tounge1.gif

Aidan is my winner of those options atm.

I really like Dylan with Emelia. The other names are fine too but I would avoid both Ethan and Miles/Myles with Emelia as I don't like two E first names for siblings and I think Miles/Myles sounds a bit too similar to Emelia.

Suggestions:
Emelia and Byron
Emelia and Harrison
Emelia and Oscar
Emelia and Tobias
Emelia and Patrick
Emelia and Callum
Emelia and Connor
Emelia and Nathaniel
Emelia and Declan
Emelia and Darcy
Emelia and Roman
Emelia and Sebastian
Emelia and Raphael
Emelia and Finlay
Emelia and Theodore
Emelia and Atticus
Emelia and Marcus
Emelia and Fraser
Emelia and Spencer
Emelia and Archer
