Want to share a little piece of helpful information? Something that you didn't know, but now you do makes life easier? Step right up...

These are mine.

iPad/iPod/iPhone users: Your device keeps every app open and just minimises it when you exit. This can drain your battery pretty quickly. If you double click your home key (the circle button at the bottom) all the apps that are currently running on your phone will be displayed along the bottom. Hold your finger on the first app, and it will jiggle, like when you delete apps. Only this time it will have a minus sign, rather than a 'x'. You can close all the apps by tapping each one.

iPad users: when you are in an app, if you swipe the screen with 4 fingers it will take you to the next app that is open on your list.
Also, if you go to Settings/General/Keyboard/Split Keyboard, the turn Split Keyboard on it will split your keyboard so you can use your thumbs to type while you hold the iPad. Pinch back together for a full keyboard again.

Also, completely unrelated to iDevices, but if you run a safety pin's point through your hair it is easier to push through fabric.

Any other cool tips and tricks to share?

On your iPad/iPhone, if you hit the home button and the power button at the same time it takes a photo of what's on your screen- a screen shot

Wrap aluminium foil around a bunch of celery to prolong its freshness in the fridge

On the fuel gauge of your car there is a little arrow beside the petrol bowser symbol - it points to the side of the car that the petrol cap is on. No more rocking up to the pump, getting out and realising the cap is on the wrong side original.gif

Not as on top of housework at you should be? (Don't worry, that's me!). Oven cleaner sprayed and left on shower glass for a few minutes will eat in to soap scum and make cleaning so much easier.

Storing your jars of tomato paste etc upside down in the fridge stops mould growing on the top. Just be sure to give the jar a bit of a flick of the wrist to get the contents against the cap.

Use those same 4 (or 5) fingers on your iPad, and pinch them together, it will take you to the home screen, rather than having to press the home button. I love this & the swiping feature, except when I go to do it on my iPhone ddoh.gif

If you are missing a key to something like a mailbox, if you have a look at the outside of the lock sometimes there will be a number printed in the metal. Take note of the number, go to a key cutting place and ask them to cut you the key that corresponds to that number. Saves having to change the lock or pry it open.
