I am in the market for a car seat to put in my husbands new car, we have a SnS Meridian AHR in my car which I love. He is not overly heavy or tall (14kgs) and there is still a lot of room for him to grow into this seat.

I am leaning towards a convertible booster, like the SnS maxi rider AHR, just because it would mean we can use it for longer with him. However, DH's car will become our family car, so will be used on longer trips, so he'd be more likely to fall asleep in that car than mine.

Is the maxi rider too upright or can it be tilted back some so his head won't roll forward when he sleeps? Are there other seats I should be considering? The car will be used for 4WDing so needs to be as secure as possible.

Any advice appreciated.

I believe the New Maxi AHR T&A is very good and does not give head slump seen in other seats. It also looks easier to use in booster mode. This seat would be my suggestion.

We looked at the new Maxi Rider yesterday and it looks quite good - planning to get one for my (very tall) 3 yr old.
