Hi,
Another question on dummy. Is comfort sucking on the dummy while sleeping/napping considered sleeping?? For his naps today, my bub woke rather easily and cried for his dummy (I usually pull it out once his sucking relaxes and he is all calm), so I had to go and replace it a few times just to help him continue to nap. I can see he is actively sucking on the dummy and his eyes are closed. Is that sleeping?? Thanks. |

Good question. I am pretty sure my son can sleep deeply (not catnapping) with the dummy sucking away. It doesn't happen often though. But I am interested to hear what others say.

I'm going to say it is. Wouldn't have even thought to question it until you did! DD does it and she isn't easily disturbed, so seems to be asleep. They make face and noises and move in their sleep, why not suck a dummy?

And they can breast feed in their sleep, ie roll over feed.
