Hi, i just found out i was preg a few days ago. I have a 9 month old dd born by emergancy csection. Im choosing to have this baby by csection also. Im wondering if anyone knows of a hospital or birthing centre that my partner can stay with me for the duration of my stay?? I am in south east qld

I had my second son at Pindara and my dh stayed the whole time. There was no double bed like the one in Melbourne where we had ds1 but there was a couch you could take the cushions off and turn into a bed. I think we may have had to pay extra for this room? Can't remember.

if you are private, then your partner can generally stay, as long as you have your own room.
My hospital only offered DH a bed for the first night after birth, but we chose for him to go home and sleep, and second time I was home the next morning anyways.

The Mater private allows partners to stay. Unsure about the public section.

DH can get food and everything (at an extra cost).
