So this is my first cycle using Vitex. I am on cd 9, not too sure when I ovulate though. I was trying for months on end to pinpoint my day, but to no avail. Opk's, nope. Charting my BBT, nope (they were really erratic), my cm, yeah no; it's always creamy, or watery, never ewcm. I mean my cycles are a little crazy. From June last year they have been as follows: 23 days, 23 days, 42 days, 26 days, 26 days, 34 days, 25 days, 27 days.... I can never tell when AF will show her ugly face :'( until she just drops on in. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with this herd Vitex. How did you like it, did it help you fall pregnant, how long did it take to regulate your cycle... stuff like that

definatly do it!!! i took vitex this month after 6 months of late and irregular ovulation and pms, and in 2 weeks of taking it it has already made a massive difference!

i just ovulated at cd 19, the norm lately has been cd28 plus i did not get any of the crappy symptoms i normally get but felt extreamly horny and well lubricated instead!

i definatly feel confidant about falling pregnant this month! i would also suggest u take a lot of fish oil, flaxseed oil, red raspberry leaf and red clover tea also. and eat super healthy!!! oh and take milk thistle too!

That definitely instills confidence in me! Thanks biggrin.gif I found I was wetter also, no ewcm that I noticed, however when we did the deed there was plenty to start with and I wasn't even that horny. Best of luck to you on your journey to motherhood <3

I was diagnosed with secondary infertility when TTC #2, and a Natropath put me on Vitex - I was pregnant 4 month later and DD is now a 9 year old original.gif

This is my first month of taking Vitex. I'm impressed so far, it's only been 2 weeks and there are noticeable improvements already.

I have low progesterone (6 instead of 15+) and I ovulate late because of this (CD22) which gives me a short luteal phase

Normally I have shocking PMS for at least a week. I am either crying, in a rage, or having an anxiety- induced meltdown. I also normally have really sore, lumpy breasts for a week before I get my period.

After two weeks of Vitex I have had No PMS or sore breasts. My period is now 2 days late (I am NEVER late) so I think the Vitex is already lengthening my luteal phase. I'm not pregnant, I tested.

I'm pretty optimistic that Vitex can help me get my progesterone levels up and my cycle regulated

My 3rd was conceived on Vitex, my other children are Clomid babies. Vitex still took about 10 months and I ended up with a fairly high dose, but it did help me to ovulate and increase my luteal phase. Just be careful about weaning off it, you're not supposed to take it when pregnant but if you go cold turkey your hormones will drop and risk losing a pregnancy. I weaned off slowly and was off completely by 12 weeks. Incidentally those 12 weeks I had not one bit of morning sickness (had it with both other kids), I attribute it partly to the more 'balanced' hormones thanks to the vitex.

Also, maybe look into a good naturopath who can actually monitor and treat you properly.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replies lovelies. I think I may have actually ovulated on cd 16!!! I got a massive sharp pinching in me left side for about 5 minutes then a little bit of blood when I checked my cp, which I have ewcm!!! It was also high and open biggrin.gif It stayed like that for a bit, and then yesterday I had some brown spotting, mixed with ewcm. I have also been feeling quite full in my lower tummy, crampy and such. I hope this all goes well for you gorgeous ladies and I would love to hear more from you guys <3

How long have you been trying for now? I suggest going to your dr and seeing whether you are actually ovulating?

If you do a search ive written alot about vitex on other posts. I recommend seeing a naturopath for the vitex.

Cut a long story short, i took vitex for a month and got pregnant straight away all the things i read told me to stop taking it once i got a positive test, so i did and a few days later i miscarried. I believe that stopping the vitex made me lose my baby as it was helping with the progesterone support.

I gave it a few more months and nothing happened so i went and seen a naturopath who then put me back on the vitex, once again i feel pregant first go, she also put me on a few other vitamins. This time though she told me to keep taking the vitex and weaned me off slowly over the first trimester which is when the placenta takes over progesterone production. All is good and my little DD will be here in a few weeks.

Goodluck!

After 5 months of TTC I tried Vitex for my short lateral phase. O valuated a few days late but first time I had all the perfect ovulation signs and fell pregnant that cycle and am now nearly 20 weeks pregnant!

Had taken virtex from the first day of period until pregnancy confirmed so wasn't on it for long and don't know if it was a fluke but I believe it helped!

All the best

Been going to fertility clinic this month just for blood tests to help me track my cycle and pick the best time to get busy.
First cycle of vitex and I have actually ovulated on time this month, instead of day 21-22 like usual. I am THRILLED. Honestly i am happy enough just to have a "proper" cycle this month but its hard not to get my hopes up for a BFP. Now for the 2 week wait...
