My husband and I are due to have our first baby girl in 2 months and can't decide between the name Lucy or Grace (Gracie for nn). The middle name will be Elizabeth and our surname starts with L. Would love some opinions. Thanks!

I would normally pick Lucy but not sure with an L surname. That said I gave my DS a L name with a L surname. I guess it depends on what the surname is

I prefer Lucy - I think Grace is far too common at the moment.

Thanks heaps for your replies already!! I agree Grace is very common but love the meaning and think its so pretty. I think Lucy is so cute but have always wondered if it's come from name Lucifer. Is that silly? I knowit means light and Lucifer was the angel of light.

Both lovely names, but I'd put Grace with an L surname, though it seems most don't agree with this. I grew up with an alliterative name and disliked it.
