So following a attempted sweep yesterday and an irritated cervix I am wondering if nipple stimulation is any good and if it worked for you?
Can you give me any advice ect?? Thanks |

No no no. I tweaked until my nipples were literally bruised and still didn't avoid an induction (well, Cervidil, then my body took over). In turn, that made establishing breastfeeding with a perpetually hungry baby agonising.
On the whole, I don't recommend it. |

No luck here! I did it by hand, with a breast pump and even expressed colostrum just to see what would happen. I was having regular BH at the time, and they got slightly more intense but that's it.
I was induced both times (42 weeks and 40 + 10), with just the gel. Induction was not bad at all. Good luck! |

Often an SnS can take 2 to 4 days to really kick things off. As said before, SnS followed by sex (a.s.a.p.racticle) and a good hot curry - spicy enough to get your bowels moving.
Did they mention the state of your cervix? If it is long, thick and completely uneffaced, it can take a few shots. Doesn't always work though. I do support the idea that after all the usual tricks to no avail, admission the night before induction and prostagladins paste via speculum - at least it may soften the cx up enough to help things along IYKWIM. Hope the experience all goes well for you and you go off naturally. All the best. |

Worked for me. I pumped 10 minutes a side each hour. After 3 hours ( 30 minutes each side total) I gave up think it was ridiculous. 3 hours later my water broke and labour started soon after.
Prior to that i had tried, sex, accupuncter, reflexology, walking, hot food. |
