I pretty much know from the outset that this name won't get a great response on EB but thought I'd put it out there anyway.

DH is desperately trying to get me to add Vedder to the baby names list. He has been told if it makes the list it will be strictly middle name potential. DH is a die hard Pearl Jam/ Eddie Vedder fan thus wanting to use Vedder. For a number of reasons we won't be using family names as middle names but still want to use something that is meaningful to us.

DH is floating Ari Vedder as a name that he really likes. I quite like Ari but I'm not so sure about Vedder. I want to like it for his sake but I just dont' know

Pearl Jam fan here ~ why not go something a little 'Vedder' unique like 'Severson' (from memory, that was one of Eddies middle names)?

For a middle name I'd use it. Keeps your Dh happy and may give you more mojo in picking the first name if you're not set on Ari.

It was his birth surname. Just ran that past DH as a option & got a resounding no.

Edward is FIL's name, otherwise it would be in contention from my POV if DH really wanted a Pearl Jam/Eddie Vedder tribute.
