Hi,

Just curious as to whether these kittens are Bengals?

My friend sent me the photo from a pet shop in Canberra. I thought it was strange that a Bengal would end up at a pet shop.

I'm guessing they are a Bengal cross?

Hard to tell exactly as I've never seen a Bengal kitten in real life but the markings seem to be correct as far as the adults I've seen go!

Yeah the markings are right. Be good to see their faces though.

There are BYB of almost EVERY breed around, seriously. I'm not surprised there are BYB Bengals.

ETA - They are badly bred. The rosettes are uniform, not crisp and not as prominent as they should be over the flanks. And they don't have glitter.

I had a cat with markings like that - he was 100% moggie, came from a small country RSPCA shelter back in the 90s..

You don't need to be a Bengal to be a pretty tabby.

Similar to country mel, my nan has a cat that looks like that. Must be about 18 now, and they found her on a vacant lot in a cardboard box. She was just a pretty kitten.

Friend said that they are being sold as Bengals.

I always thought that breeders desex their kittens before letting them leave (unless sold to a breeder).

I guess that there are always some breeders that don't go by this rule though

I'm going there tomorrow, I can look then if it is and maybe get a pic of their faces.
The one I mentioned had a few ragdoll kittens there for what seemed like 3 or 4 months! I wonder what happened to them.
I don;'t like pet shops, I really don't.

Ker, cats have GLITTER??? Why has no one told me this? I may have to look at getting one when my dear old moggy is no longer with us. I'd love me a cat with glitter lol.
