Hi! Been awhile since I've posted! Our little beautiful girl was born 17/11/12.
She's now 12w old today!

As she's gotten older, the feed/play/sleep is getting harder to follow for us :-/

Most times Imogen will want to "play" first... I'll try & try to BF as soon as possible after waking but she has taken to screaming the place down...

So the past week or so we have been play/feed/sleep...

She currently sleeps from about 7:30pm till 6am (x'd fingers this continues!) with not too much fuss to get down to sleep (during the day we do rock & pat a little to doze off)

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and how it has played out as bubs got older?

TIA :-D

With DD it worked a charm. DS was a catnapper, so never worked for him. Up until around 8 mths he never slept for longer than 40 mins at a time during the day, so feed play sleep didn't work. Now that he is older he will sleep anywhere from 40mins to 3 hours...routine just doesn't work for this kid lol.

Mine was a catnapper so it was hard. It becomes less important as the number of their naps decreases. Yours is sleeping great at night!

play-feed-sleep always worked best for me.

There is no "right" way to do it. If you find something that works for you, don't overthink it.

I came in from recent, so excuse me crashing & I'll admit its been a few years, but...
from memory at about 3 months they start needing a bit less sleep and it moves to feed/play/sleep/play. So yes, a little play on waking before feeding.
But really whatever works for you and your bub
Good luck

There is no reason why your baby has to Feed/play/sleep. Like us adults babies are not robots all designed the same.

Follow Your baby girls ques and you'll end up with a happy baby and a less stressed mum.

Play/Feed/Sleep sounds great and with those night sleeps I'd feel reassured she really is doing well with this.

My 13 week old is all over the place but typically does Feed/Play/Feed Sleep but he is happy and thriving this way so I'm happy too!

It really worked for me in the early months. But now that DD is 8 months old it has become a problem.... she now cannot get herself to sleep without having that feed beforehand. To avoid this, just make sure you don't feed your little one to sleep. Put her in bed awake.
