Hello wise women of EB!

I'm making lemon curry chicken casserole as part of a lunch that's on tomorrow. I have to brown the chicken and veggies on the stove top then cook them in the oven as a casserole (a women's weekly recipe from some old cook book). So the chicken isn't fully cooked. Can someone tell me what it means by:

"Recipe can be made a day ahead, refrigerated and covered."

Does this mean I cook it in the oven today or tomorrow? I think it's kind of gross to leave browned chicken in the rerigerator then cook it tomorrow as a casserole sick.gif . But maybe this is what it means wacko.gif

Thanks in advance (from the worlds worst cook).

I'd cook it today, and then reheat tomorrow.

Cook it completely today. Then put it in the fridge. Tomorrow, heat it up at 180 degrees with a lid or foil over the top for about 25 minutes.

Good luck, sounds tasty original.gif

It means you cook the recipe to the point where you are ready to eat it, then store it in the fridge until you need it tomorrow.

Most casseroles taste better if they get to sit in the fridge overnight. I

Just reheat it in the oven or microwave when you want it tomorrow.

I would take it to mean the entire recipe through to making it a casserole can be made a day ahead. Not stages, although I guess you could.

Don't be worried. I googled, and saw plenty of recipes for lemon curry chicken. Whooda thunk?

The flavour will develop overnight.
