I have a food blog.
SIL is currently in New York and she just messaged me that she'd like to bring me one thing back as a gift.

I'm so clueless. What should I get? I want something that is quintessentially "New York" (and not a mug or a yankees hat), something cool, chic and perhaps a bit girly.

Can anyone help?

Something from the gift shop at MoMA or The Met. Just tell her to walk in and buy the first thing that catches her eye - guaranteed it will be cool original.gif

I love the MoMA, Guggenheim, Met suggestions, I would never have thought of that but that is perfect.
