I just don't get it, why mess with it? I doesn't need updating, its a classic!! I'm glad my DD will read my copy with the real Anne pictured on front.

It's special isn't it. It's self-published (in that someone paid to have it typset and published, the actual words being in the public domain now) through Amazon. And whoever paid to have it done was clearly too cheap to even fork out for an appropriate picture.
I was relieved to find out that there wasn't a reputable publishing house behind that bizarre decision. It's nice to see though, the hundreds of extremely indignant reviews it's getting on Amazon. |
