Hi,

I am looking for some advice or suggestions on a pram for our #4 bub.

My older three will be 5yrs and older when bub is born so no double needed. I really want a pram that allows bub to rear face and having had two of my threee with reflux I found they needed some incline and to not been completely flat ie bassinette.

I usually jog daily and when i get back into it I plan on getting a second hand MB urban for that purpose only.

So the main pram will be used at shops/ days out and I would ideally like something that I could use to walk to and from school maybe twice a week, which is a 2km round trip on footpaths.

We have a kia grand carnival which has decent bootspace but with gear from three kids already ideally the more compact the better.

So what pram would you suggest? Is it possible to get a pram with all of the above that is not too wide/clunky for indoors but would still handle the walk to and from school?

Hi, I cannot tell enough people how great our pram is. We got an emmaljunga nitro city for bubs #2 after having a three wheeler for #1.

I absolutely love this pram not only does it look super comfy for bubs (we had the bassinet for NB) it is large enough that he won’t look squashed as a toddler.

It is probably a one of the more expensive prams but I love it and wish we had it for number one.

If I could have, I would have bought the Baby Jogger city versa. It was delayed being released so I went with the City select instead but lament it's length. The Versa can have a bassinet or a capsule attached as well as the seat, has larger wheels so good for walks but not wide or long so good for shopping etc. Rear and forward facing and one piece fold. VERSA

I have a valco spark.
My baby is 3 months old, so I don't have that much experience with it.
I bought it because I didn't want to spend more than $500 on my first pram and because it satisfied most of my criteria.
The reason I'm suggesting it is because the seat transforms into a bassinet.
I have a reflux baby and currently have my pram set up with the bottom half in bassinet mode and the top half clipped up in chair mode. My baby sleeps very well in this.

Sorry to gloat .... But mine is on its way from the USA !! I love BJ prams, I have had the City Select, the City Mini and now the Versa ....!

I ordered it off eBay actually - $530usd it cost me shipped to Perth with tracking, but have just noticed there are cheaper ones on eBay now - oh well

Thanks so much for the replies so far.

I think the emmaljunga may be a little bulky for getting in and out of the car a few times a day?

The versa looks great, I had been looking at this one online, is it fairly new though as I couldnt find many actual reviews for it online?

I was also looking at a bugaboo cameleon or bee but unsure how these would cope with the walk to school? If anyone has one how do they go for bigger walks on footpaths?

I have both, and both would be fine, though it would depend on your footpaths. I'd probably err on the bee though. We took ours to europe and walked everywhere with it, and every second pram in london seemed to be a bee. It also doesn't have a bassinette, whereas the cameleon you really do need to use the bassinet for the the first couple of months. I also find that our cameleon tends to need counter steering when the footpath slopes sideways, probably because the manoeuvreability is so good, it steers itself. This is not such a problem for me, because my oldest is still on the skateboard and so does the counter balance for me.

The other cool thing about the bee, since you have older kids, is that they can push it. The handle at it's lowest height is very low, and I've seen kids pushing them.

thanks lbj for the review of the bugaboos. I was inititally leaning towards the bee over the cammy because of the easier fold and it looked like it would grow with the child better.

I was worried about the smaller wheels though and the fact that the seat looks quite exposed iykwim? My kids always used to slouch to the side in the pram which in a bucket seat isn't a problem but there doesn't look like there is a lot of side padding in the bee? Have you found this at all?
