I agree with the author - no big deal - isn't that what all the sented baby washes really are anyway. Besides you know what my baby smells like if I dont use scented washes - cheese!!!

Beats the smell of sour milk spew that mine end up with otherwise I guess.

I do tend to prefer a gentle unscented goats milk soap. Does the job, not sure I'd use an expensive perfume because well, it'll end up smelling like puke soon enough.

Darn chucky babies.

I think it's stupid.

But good on the designers for coming up with an extra way to fleece the people. That's how they get rich after all.

Meh.

Petit Enfant has had a eau de toilette out in their baby skincare range for years (i think i might have a bottle laying around somewhere that came in a pack i was given). honestly it isn't something i would use (hence the unopened bottle here), but if it isn't causing any harm i can't see the issue with it (to each his/her own blah, blah, blah)

I agree with the comment from the article below.

"There is a big difference between practical baby products being scented and perfume for babies. What could make a better gift? Oh just about anything else - a nice baby blanket, a cot set, clothes, babysitting.
Of course a beauty editor has no problem in rich fashion houses exploiting new mothers with another unnecessary baby product as she would be out of a job if superficiality was unimportant."

I would also be wary of any unnecessary chemicals and have always just used soap and water for my great smelling babies

Having it available isn't forcing anyone to buy it. I wouldn't use it.

I wouldn't use it,

But I think it's no different to all the other baby stuff on the market with no real purpose other than a indulgement of the parents.
Like shoes for none walkers?
Never understood that, especially expensive little nike runners ect.

If it makes them happy............
