I smile because I don't know what the hell is going on.
We are planning on repainting the inside of our house and I am not sure which brand/type of paint to go with. Can anyone recommend a good quality paint that is long lasting and washes well (we have three boys!)?

Thanks original.gif

We are happy with Taubman's Endure paint. It was chosen due to the review on Choice. You can get colour matches to other brands of paint.

If you live in Melbourne Velvet Paints is very cheap (carries major brands). You cannot get prices over the phone and they don't do small sample pots (1 litre min).

At work (an architect) we generally specify Dulux - great quality and colour range.

Personally I prefer Resene but that is a personal preference based on past experience - its more expensive (unless you are in NZ - its an NZ product) but the colour range is amazing and teh tints are actually automotive quality/type so they do not fade etc as some others can do. We spec thsi a bit at work but the contractor always wants to switch it for something cheaper.
We have also used Bunnings brand wall sealer and ceiling paint before and been very happy with the results.

I've used taubmans and British paints inside, and the British paints has been far superior. Fewer coats needed to go on, it evened out much better than the taubmans, and is very low odour. It was nicer to paint with too. It cleans really well, and the mould inhibiting one we used in the bathroom has done a great job. I've recommended it to a few people now and they've all had a similarly good experience

I like Porters.

My painter likes Wattyl.

Our designers prefer Resene.

Our house is painted inside with Porters and it is holding up well to 3 grubby children. I have a white hallway which the children naturally run their hands along as they walk up and down several times a day. Marks just wipe off.
