Hi, I have a Medela Swing breast pump that was last used around year ago. I'm now expecting #2 in July and just wondering if I need to clean it in any special kind of way (other than sterilise bits like normal) or replace any of the parts for hygiene reasons?

If it has just been you using it all I'd do would be to clean the 4 parts that milk touches and boil them up once ready to go.
I think the Medela recommendations are to sterilise the pump kit once a day and wash all the parts after use but according to the ABA website you don't need to sterilise. https://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/bf-info/br...ring-breastmilk |
