I have had glasses since I was about 21. I can't remember exactly what my prescription was back then, but I do remember being told that I was legally not allowed to drive without glasses.
I am now 32 and for the last 5 or 6 years my eyes have been stable and my script has been left eye -2.75 and right eye -2.0. I am now 8 months post-partum and have been getting extremely bad headaches and car sickness when I go out in the car so I decided to go and get my eyes checked again (I don't wear my glasses at home). Turns out my left eye is -1.75 and my right eye is -1.25. No wonder I have been feeling like cr&p when I wear my glasses! I have heard of pregnancy making eyesight worse, not better, but that is the only explanation I can think of. I'm curious if this has happened to anyone else? |

Hi OP,
I just went to the optometrist today because I'd been having similar symptoms...turns out my eyes have gotten better too! The optometrist told me that perhaps it was because I wasn't working now, and therefore not in front of a computer and constantly straining my eyes that way. Do you think this could relate to your situation too??? |

Ah I didn't think of that! That could be the case, as I do normally work in front of a computer all day. Damn it! Does that mean my eyesight will get bad again after I start back at work?!

Mine got better too!!! DS is 3 1/2 now and they haven't reverted! I was -1.75 to -1.5 and am now -1.25 to -1

No, no susieblue - don't ruin it with the practical and logical
 I'm waiting for the xray vision to see what the little dudes are destroying in the next room, and the ability to leap huge mounds of washing in a single bound to kick in.. Even the ability to avoid Lego that lurks in the dark would be a bonus. Tell us when you get your cape, Hots. |
