Frozen raspberry yoghurt - advice, Adapting a JO 30 Minute recipe

So, in 30 Minute Meals there's a really simple recipe for a frozen mango dessert: 500gm frozen mango chunks 250gm natural yoghurt honey lemon juice blend, freeze, serve in cones. I don't think we have frozen mango chunks in our supermarket. Would frozen raspberries work? Some of the frozen raspberry yoghurt recipes I've seen online say sieve and remove seeds, and most others require an ice cream churn - but it's for tonight and I haven't had my ice-cream thingo in the freezer long enough. Obviously in JO's recipe using frozen fruit is what makes it work quickly... so I'm thinking frozen raspberries, no churn, no sieving. What am I missing?

The no sieving would just leave A LOT of seeds in the final product. It's only and issue if you family is really fussy and don't like the grittiness. To get around it for the speed factor after dinner, what about pre making it (fresh mango or sieved raspberries) and freezing in a shallow container. When it's time to serve, break into chunks and blend again for a smooth texture.

Possibly more sugar if the berries are quite tart. I'd also not dump the full amount of berries in right away, it might be too strong a flavour. I add a bit of milk or cream to my frozen yoghurt too. Why don't you just do frozen berries in bowls with sweetened yoghurt dolloped on top? No messing around with a freezer then. Or sieving berries.

Thanks for the ideas. I defrosted and sieved half the raspberries, and put the rest in frozen Left it in the freezer for about 3.5 hours, but it was still quite soft in the middle. Tasted great - just needs a longer freeze. It's a gorgeous scarlet colour too!

I've also made it with frozen bananas and strawberries (both separate and together). Very yummy!

I use natural greek yoghurt and frozen mango ( buy mangoes by the tray and freeze portions ready to go), nothing else. I have a stick mixer thing that has the bowl attachment and i put the frozen mango and yoghurt (out of fridge) in it for about a minute. It's like mango soft serve! YUM! I do the same with raspberries, seeds and all.
