Heya

Soooo confused!! My hubby & I have been trying for #2 for 3 years. In that time we have had 5 miscarriages :-( our last one was twin boys in November 2012.

I suspected a chemical pg last month due to positive HPT's but never had it confirmed. AF was 5 days late but still came with avengance.

About a week after AF i had ovulation pains & assumed early ovulation & we actively tried. The following week i had an appointment with our FS who suggested a lining test to rule out killer cells. We stopped trying immediately as i didnt want there to be a chance of pregnancy. This particular test can only be done on CD21.

But....last Tuesday my F2F pg tests arrived & i thought i would try one on the off chance. Positive! Plus 10 more after that. So laat Thursday i had a blood test - negative? I was meant to have my lining test on Monday but didn't go. Last night i did an FR it was quite distinctly +!

I went to my GP this morning who made me feel stupid. I showed him the test, explained my situation & he looked at the test & said it was negative...i said you can't see a line? He said i can see a faint line but positive tests usually have 2 dark lines. I think he thought i was crazy. So he did agree to a BT but said it was unlikely to be positive cos my HPT test was negative.

I was sure he would be wrong but i just got my results which are negative???

What is going on ...

We used to stay at home but now we have a social life ..
Sorry, I can only see one line, I thought you needed two for a positive test?

I know when I tested for DS, the test showed two distinct lines within seconds of it starting.

There is definitely a line. FRERs detect a very small amount of HCG. It may be that you are very early on and the blood test at the doctor only counts a "certain amount" of HCG as positive, and you haven't reached that yet.

Keep taking tests and see if they get darker over the next few days original.gif

I also think I can see a very faint second line. I am a bit confused though. How many days past ovulation do you think you are?
