Day 3 of the school run (walking to and forth) and I'm already sick of the sunscreen routine - it's so thick and greasy, takes forever to rub in and has stained the new school uniforms already.

Does anyone have a sunscreen that's easy to apply but effective?

Mum of girls
We use Cancer Council Sport 30+ pump bottle. I pump it and DD's (2.11 and 4.6) rub it in. It seems to sink in, and not stain so far.

What about sunscreening them whilst they're wearing only underwear and then waiting 5min, then dressing?

Banana Boat is the worst for us - DD1 gets a rash from it, and I find it greasy.

The best sunscreen in the whole world (IMO) is Solrx Waterblock/sport sunscreen. It's sweat/water proof, very light. Paraben free and stays on 8 hours. Another good one is Elle Bache Sportsbloc - it's light, non greasy and doesn't sting the eyes if you accidentally get it in there. Both are fairly expensive but worth it.

I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong MP... The Ella Bache Sportsbloc stings my eyes really badly... And leaves me smelling like a flower. So I don't like it.
I like the Anti-Cancer one, the one in the grey packaging, can't remember it's name. Spray or tube. Both good, non-greasy, not too expensive, no scent. The spray one is very light and easy to rub in, but I dislike that with a spray you have to make sure that the bottle is upright, the nozzle is pointing in the right direction, and that you're not going to over spray and have stray sunscreen land on something else while you apply it.
The Le Tan coconut also works well and I love the coconut smell. Again, tube and spray available, with the same pros and cons.

I am a fan of the new banana boat no rub spray on, it is more expensive but it takes me only a min or 2 do do all the sunscreeening on myself and 3 kids in the morning with no fussing from teh 2 and 3 yr olds as its so fast to apply. It seems to last really well my 3 yr old is a casper ghost and she's never even got red wearing it original.gif.

I prefer the cancer council range. Well researched and priced. I just feel like I can trust their products more than companies who are just there to make money.
