Day time TV

Ok it is fluffy but how do people watch the stuff on TV during the day? I volunteer for a wildlife group and today I am on phone duty so sorta house bound, I've done a quick tidy of the house and thought I would put the telly on while I had a cup of tea and folded washing. OMGawd, I've done yoga, I've vacuumed my house with some magic vacuum cleaner that gets rid of invisible pet hair and sucks up snooker balls, and I look 100 years younger thanks to some vibrating thingo you rub over your face. What have I been missing lol. I think I might go and do that studying I've been putting off all holidays.

Tell me about it, mostly crap on during the day. I think the only decent show on during the day (IMO) is Ellen but even I don't get time to watch her

I'm no fan of daytime TV, never have been. It's all drivel. I do find Ellen entertaining but I don't rush to the lounge room to tune in, I wouldn't even know what time she is on. If I'm bored during the day I come here. I watch my TV after DS is in bed, usually US shows I've downloaded.

Daytime, nighttime, it's all pretty lame. Daytime: Guy/girl team yabbering about celebs interspersed with ads for super vacuum wrinkle cream pilates machine. Dr Phil People cooking More people cooking Soaps Night time: Men blowing up rats People renovating houses People cooking More people cooking Soaps hiding under the guise of prime time serials It's a bit like gold mining. Sift through enough dross and every so often you find something worthwhile.

Don't watch it. Your brain will slowly disintegrate into a wobbly mass of jelly. Seriously though, I have this mental block about turning the tv on during the day. I'm not judging others, but for me, it would be almost like giving up on joy of life itself. Probably because my parents never, ever turned the tv on during the day. TV doesn't go on for me until after the kids are in bed, so 7.30.

I need white noise to function so I either just have the TV on, or the radio or the music channel.

It can be bearable. Theres a few good shows on. Trick is not to be fussy lol Few years ago I never would have watched Becker or Frasier but they are ok now as its the best thats on at the time lol I need it on for background noise
