Booster or Harness Booster, for second car....

Hi I have a 2 & 4 y.o with a safe'n'sound meridian and maxi rider in our main car and babylove ezycombo in our secondary car. I am looking to get another car seat for our secondary car - and want it to be something that we will get longer term use out of. I'm happy for the 4 y.o. to stay in a 5 point harness for as long as possible as I know this is the safest option. Am I better off getting a booster seat (eg boston hipod or hi-liner) that scored really highly in the CREP results or a harness booster seat (eg another ezycombo/maxi rider) even though these scored less in the booster category (and not that high in the forward facing category either). Ideas/suggesitons? thanks

Depends on how often the second car is used. At 4.25 yrs I had the car seat for DHs car as a dedicated booster. It was used only 2 times a month or so. I felt it was good training for DS1 to learn how to sit properly in a booster seat. He did not get that seat in the main car until 5.5yrs of age. The New Maxi Rider was not CREP tested. It was the previous model which was tested.
