So this happened last night, and I'm still cackling about it today.

I was sitting out on our back deck, and I had a glass of pineapple fizzy drink. Isobel (4 in April) comes out and asks for a sip and "mmmmmm. Tastes beautiful. Like magical Asians"

What's yours come up with lately?

not exactly disingenuous
I picked my DS (4) up from school today, amd when I asked him how his day was, he said 'it's a jungle out there', totally straight-faced.

ROFL, he must have been listening to his father's dodgy late 80's music again.

You said no strings could secure you, at the station...

What do you think she was trying to say?

DS was jiggling around too much at dinner the other day and had a chip go the wrong way. After much coughing and spluttering he looked at me and said "Mumma I think that chip went right up into my BWAIN"
He has a thing about his brain though, the other day he wanted a biscuit, I said no because he needed room for dinner and he said "No, dat's OK mumma, the honey biscuits go down and fill up my feet, and dinner goes up into my BWAIN " (emphasis his)
I could only commend him on his knowledge of anatomy.

DD (3 on Saturday) said to me yesterday:
"No need to cuddle me all day Mummy, I has to eat my yoghurt otherwise it will die."

Mum to two boys!! :O
When DS1 was learning to read (he was an early reader) he was very taken with "Ex-Jamaican" marks and would say "Mummy, I'm hungry with an ex-Jamaican mark". laughing2.gif

And yesterday DS2 told me that his "saliba" in his mouth was water and if he ran out he'd die. But its ok because he makes it in his body.

One of my 5yro twin boys went up to DH who needed a shave. He put his little hands on Dh's cheeks & said, "Dad, your face has gone all crazy". DH loved that comment! original.gif

or Fembo maybe...
DD starts crying in the back of the car
Me: What's up?
DD: I poked myself in the eye! (I start cracking up - she's four - how do you poke yourself in the eye???)
DH: How did you do that?
DD: I was trying to poke the window (I start gasping for air and am unable to respond)
DH: Was your eye close to the window? (it wasn't - when buckled into her seat it's quite impossible for it to be anywhere near the window)
DD: Yes and I was trying to poke the window to see how much I weighed and I poked my eye! It really hurts!!!

WTF? huh.gif
Anyway by this time DH has started cracking up and we are unable to enquire further. Poor DD and her incredibly unsympathetic parents...

My 3 year old walked into my mum's last week and exclaimed "Look how big you are getting Nana!"

He sees it as a compliment (ie big and strong) but its a bit of a sensitive subject with Nana, although she did laugh.
