I have kicked my serious Schweppes Lemonade addiction..

We got a Soda Stream for Christmas and with the help of a bottle of delicious lemon cordial, some ice cubes and some slices of lemon I discovered a 'different way'..

It was better than lemonade methadone because it was more delicious than the Schweppes heroin/lemonade it was replacing!

Then it ran out.

And I was panicing...

I tried Elderflower.

I tried Cascade Raspberry (my 'still' cordial of choice).

But they were of no comfort.

I emailed the friend who gave me the initial bottle - she's moved away so I couldn't just smash down her door and retrieve the cordi I needed - and she sent me the recipe..

Well it took two days - but it is all bottled up now and looks beautiful.

But better than that - it TASTES FANTASTIC!

Yay!

4 bottles of all organic cordial - enough to last me for months and months and months of guzzling!

Made by my own fair hand for the cost of a bag of sugar!

I'm going to make some orangeade now! And maybe some gooseberry..... hmmm.... plum? Lemongrass and honey? Strawberry? Blueberry? Carrot?

Yay!

Homemade cordial my new best friend!

Recipe or it didn't happen Tounge1.gif

Plus on the plus side, should others have your recipe if ever you need it due to some unforeseen catastrophe, others may be willing to share their stash with you! biggrin.gif

Sodastream is da bomb.

I sometimes add some ginger to the lemon cordial, which is lovely.

Try pink grapefruit cordial, or blood orange if you can get enough of them! original.gif

I love the cascade raspberry one.
I don't like elderflower, no matter how hard I try and how many cooks such as Jamie Oliver tell me to use it.
Orangeade sounds delish though, and as stated earlier, recipe or it's not true!

I like soda water on frozen fruity slushies.
Such as a lemon sorbet scooped into a glass of soda water.

yup where is said recipe?

I so cannot wait to have a nice cold glass of lemon cordial with ice after this baby is born! (due to having very bad reflux is is on the no go list at the moment) It would be soo much better if it was homemade!

We used to stay at home but now we have a social life ..
Yep, recipe. I'm a fan of Bickfords cordial, I've always liked the lemon and lemon/lime but now they make raspberry wub.gif

We used to have a Sodastream when I was a kid (it would have been the very first version, probably a collector's item now lol), maybe I should investigate ...
