Not sure where the best spot for this is - mods move if you see fit.

I'll just get straight into it - we had some landscaping work done around two years ago - mostly retaining walls and stairs. Immediately afterwards the walls started leaning and we asked the landscaper to fix however he always had an excuse as to why he couldn't do it...

So we've been hassling him to fix it for two years (yes I'm very patient!) and in that time the walls have started leaning even more to the point where I'm concerned they could come down. he also built some stairs for us which are cracked and loose and downright dangerous.

Finally I contacted Fair Trading, who has in turn contacted him. He is no longer licenced so is not legally allowed to fix his work, and is refusing to give us any financial compensation so we can appoint someone else to do it.

Next step is apparently the Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal.

Fair Trading are sending out the paperwork to me to apply for a hearing, but as usual, they were a little hazy on the details of the exact process.

I'm hoping someone might have some experience in terms of what goes on there..... I'm wondering if it's even worth my while going but I feel a little like we have a point to prove!

The landscaper apparently told fair trading that the wall is leaning as the neighbours had a bobcat running up and down near the retaining wall and that's why it's leaning! It's complete BS!!! Makes me so mad!
