I just need to keep telling myself that! Studying with six children, and a DH who is not around a lot, is hard at times!

I'm doing three units this study period, and am a little behind in all of them. I'm up to date with all assignments and essays, just a bit behind with the weekly work (really behind in one).

I really need to do two lectures each night as well as a few readings, and a lot of studying to catch up in time for the end of unit exams.

It's so hard to get motivated at ten o clock at night when I finally have time to myself! I'm so tired by then. Then I am up until two or three and the baby wakes at six. I'm feeling pretty exhausted!

At least next study period I am only doing two units, and one of those is my favourite subject, as well as a follow on from my favourite this SP so I should be able to do that one without too much stress!

Anyone else feeling a little overwhelmed?

Are you doing study via distance? OUA?


Do all your units have exams? If not concentrate on the assessments for the non exam ones, and pay more attention to the course content/weekly readings etc of ones that do .

I'm studying for a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in Modern History. This study period I chose an elective and two history subjects to speed it up a little (planning on doing that at times to shorten it all!) but forgot to factor in Christmas school holidays!

Anyway, I'm feeling a bit better now. I've just had a look and even if I totally bomb on the exams I should still pass them all (unless the essays I handed in last week fail) so I don't have to completely panic.

They all have exams. Two are week long, but one of those is three 1000 word essays, and the other two 1000 word essays! The other exam is time limited to two hours, but that is, of course, the subject I am most behind in.

Finished all other assessments though, so now I'm just casually listening to lectures and doing readings. I was having a really good look at all the units and have decided I can probably skip a few lectures in two of the subjects and still be okay. I'll just make sure I do all the readings and then concentrate on the (really long) lectures for the one I'm most behind in.
