Sorry a bit new to this. Found out I was pregnant about 10 days ago, my period would have been due about a week ago. Yesterday noticed some blood, didn't really stress, but now I'm definitely bleeding, so I guess that only means one thing.

What I've no idea about is what I'm supposed to do now? Do I need to go to the doctor or something? Is it all out? Is there a chance it's still viable - I'm thinking not? But I presume a preg test won't tell me?

So lost. We hadn't really been trying, so I can't say I'm devastated. But I'd kind of got used to the idea, stopped dieting, started packing away my skinny clothes, started planning my life around it. In only ten days. It's hard to switch back again. I guess I was in shock when I found out, and I'm kind of in shock again.

You should see a dr. Even if it's happening naturally, you want your hcg levels to be checked to make sure they go back to 0, and that you've passed everything.

It's really awful, I'm sorry you have to go through it. Look after yourself, the hormones alone make it a rough ride

I'm sorry.......def go and see your dr.....bleeding is not necessarily miscarriage, I bled a lot with DS2 ......definitely get it checked out though. I hope everything works out.....

OP definitely go see your doctor. As said previously bleeding is not always serious, some women bleed all the way through, but you need to get checked out. If it is something serious you may need further treatment.

I'm sorry you are going through this - I know how stressful it is so be kind to yourself! Your doctor will likely rush you off for scans and blood tests if she/he is concerned, I found this to be stressful as I wasn't expecting it, especially the urgency, but it's the best way to get answers. If it's at all possible have your partner come with you to the doctor for support.

If you are unable to see a GP today you can go to emergency or even phone the hospital and ask to speak to the pregnancy assessment team and they will be able to give you advice.

If you are happy to wait, then you could go tomorrow. Most likely they will do a blood test to see if your HCG levels have dropped. They might do a scan depending on how far along you are.

So with that in mind, for what it's worth.....I don't think there's an urgency, tomorrow is fine I am sure, because I think (and sorry if this sounds insensitive) that at this stage there isn't much a dr could do.....if you are miscarrying ( and I'm not saying you are) then I think that would just take its course, I don't think it would be a matter of "if I'd gotten to a dr sooner this wouldn't have happened..." IYKWIM?

I had lots of bleeding early on, they did an ultrasound at around 5 weeks (dildo cam) .....they couldn't detect a heartbeat .....my OB kind of set me up to expect a miscarriage....they tested me for HCG levels as a PP said, I had three tests about 2 days apart, which gave us all some hope as they were rising as you would expect......

All the best, maybe try to take it easy today and see what the dr says, fingers crossed.....

All is not totally lost. I was overseas when found out I was pregnant. Was bleeding for on and off for a few days and yes, I thought the worst. Called my DH in Au and he spoke to my dr (ivf clinic) Now, I think it was implantation bleeding. The bleeding eventually stopped. I also bled heavily weeks later. Cried the hardest, and went to the dr for a blood test. Was late in the arvo so no results that day. Scanned the next day and all seemed to be okay. Blood test came back and it turns out it was low progesterone. Dr put me on progesterone and bleeding stopped. Best just to get a blood test. All hope is not lost. Hardest thing to do is to try not to stress. My counsellor said in such times, distract yourself. Sounds silly, but rent a movie or something.

It's not necessarily over. Heaps of women have bleeding and go onto to have a baby. I'd say if there's no cramping that s a good sign. your GP will do a blood test and a scan if necessary.

I agree with PPs - the only way to know what is happening is to get checked out. I'd personally be happy waiting until tomorrow, in your situation, but others wouldn't and that's ok.
