HI I'm 30 weeks. This is my first baby in Australia. Gave away all baby things before left Ireland and am now panicking - where can I pick up a cheap baby capsule and where to shop for reasonably priced baby clothes? ohmy.gif

Don't panic original.gif congratulations on your pregnancy. If you don't mind buying a secondhand capsule, Ebay or Gumtree are probably your best bets. There are also garage sale pages and baby buy/sell pages on Facebook. You could also hire a capsule.

If you want brand new stuff, check out Target, Big W, Kmart, Best and Less - they are probably the cheapest options. Good luck!

You can hire for a reasonable price for 6 months so if not planning another one this may be cheapest option for you. Pearces car fitting service in NSW installed mr car seat and hired out seats too.

I think places like Target, Kmart and Big W are reasonable for capsules and for baby clothes Kmart and Best and Less is very reasonable. I guess it depends on what is your budget but these places are pretty cheap, particularly Kmart.

We hired our capsule from the local council.

For clothes: I think Target are the best value. I also picked up a lot of great stuff via eBay & op shops. Still dancing with glee over the $80 toddler sleeping bag I picked ip for $8, in perfect condition.

I hired a capsule and got everything else from target. You can get a good cot quite cheaply if they are having one of their baby sales. The place I hired the capsule from also does bassinet hire too. PM me if you want details.

Can't believe my baby girl is 1!
We hired a capsule too. About $60 for 6 months.

Around Australia there are baby and kids markets. Great place to pick up cheap baby stuff. There might be one near you. http://www.babykidsmarket.com.au/

I got a lot of baby clothes at OP shops. Often they are near new because babies grow quickly. Also Gum Tree as mentioned. You could also go to garage sales.
