Hi ladies,
7 days ago i gave birth to my DS, he is my second bub. I got a 1st degree tear which did not require any stitches. I was just wondering how long it will take to sort itself out and close back up iykwim? Midwife said with stitches it takes around 12days, but i cant remember what she said about without lol. I have my GP appointment to get bub checked on Tuesday as we left hospital right away, so ill ask my GP then too. Cheers. spottydog. |

I had a second degree tear which was unstitched. It took a week or two to close up but months to heal. I was still having pain for up to a year post-birth. Good luck!

I found that it healed in about 2-3 weeks. I found sitting on a boppy pillow really helped with the pain while sitting.
Feel good! |
