and do you have seperate daycare shoes if your kids go to care?

DS is 2 and at the moment has a pair of good sandals (clarkes) that fit him well, a pair of sandals for daycare which are a bit small. We recently brought winter shoes a pair of joggers (a bit big for winter) and a pair of canvas shoes for getting dressed up (also big for winter). I have been trying to find another pair of sandals for daycare that are not expensive but still have the closed heel for support. Last year i got a really good pair from target this year i can't find anything other than the expensive brands such as clarkes that have a back on them. DH thinks i am mad for wanting seperate shoes for daycare and thinks i should just let him wear the good sandals he has.

So just curious to see what others do?

Three- a pair of joggers, sandals and slippers.

We did have an extra pair of sandals but the daycare centre lost them. A good argument for not sending him in good shoes!

Pair of sandals for summer, pair of smart joggers for winter.

DD gets one extra pair of Mary Janes too.

The boys now also of course have school shoes and school runners.

No separate shoes for Kinder or Daycare.

My kids have 3 pairs each. Dressy in summer sandals or boots/ Mary janes for winter, a pair of crocs ohmy.gif (I know, I know, they're bogan but, both find them comfy) & gumboots.

This winter I might get them a pair of slippers as well, probably Target cheapies for those.

Edit for typo.

Our childcare don't really like them wearing sandals only with a closed toe is allowed.

Also I buy separate shoes because after a week coming home from childcare they are grotty and covered in paint, play-doh, food etc... Also don't buy white. I bought the white dunlop volleys for my sons to go to daycare in big mistake they are filthy. I throw them in the wash every 2 weeks and still can't them clean.

DD(20mo) currently has 2 pairs. Cheap dotty sneaker things from Kmart and expensive Clarks sandals. She would have more but she's grown 6cm in 6 months!!!

My 3 year old DD has heaps, perhaps 7 pairs. I look at it like clothes, and we buy different colours and styles. They are mostly very inexpensive, like little ballet flats from cotton on which are $12.

We don't do special daycare shoes. However I do have daycare clothes, as they tend to get stained more, so I dress them in cheaper tshirts etc.
