Hi Girls,
My son's bday is coming up next month and I'm wanting to get a Transformers or Spiderman cake made. Does anyone have any recommendations for a cake maker that wont cost me the earth? Thanks! |

When I moved to Melbourne at the beginning of last year I found a great lady who makes great cakes at very reasonable prices IMO. The only snag is she is in Thomastown (North) so if you don't mind a drive, they are well worth it!

Dont know where you are in melbourne, but out near Dandenong, Lucy's Devine Cakes are wonderful and very well priced.
They made both my DD's and my friends DS's first birthday cakes and they were great. Fantasic tasting super rich mud cake is what we had, so not just pretty- which is important! http://www.lucysdivinecakes.com/index.html This post has been edited by Flaxen: 01/02/2013, 07:26 AM |

Eiffel Tower cakes is pretty fabulous and well priced as well - but similarly are in Tullarmarine, so not sure if that works for you?

I was just in Woolworths Eastland (Ringwood) this morning and they had awesome looking Spiderman cakes. It was $20 for a small one and $40 for a big one. They also had Peppa Pig and Mickey Mouse ones. I was really impressed with the look of them.
I imagine all Woolworths with a bakery would have them so maybe have a look. |

Have you found someone yet?
I may be be able to help you if you are still looking. I know a lot of cake decorators because I decorate myself. But I am only taking on family cakes right now. If you still need someone let me know your suburb. |
