What do you think of Annabeth... I think it's sweet but I'm a little worried it might be a bit too Deep South American for a little Australian girl. Thoughts?

It made me think of Anna Nicole...

I guess I think it sounds a bit sweet but will your 26 year old daughter who is trying to climb the ladder in her career want a sweet name?

Yes, I tend to agree it does make me think of a cute American girl with pigtails and dimples.

How about as a nickname, say for Anna Elizabeth or some variation of such?

I prefer Elizabeth and Anna as separate names, but I definitely prefer Annabeth to Annabel. I personally wouldn't use it but I don't dislike it.

I don't really think it'll hamper her job prospects. It's a combination of two pretty standard names, it's not going to have the same impact as Maddysyn-Jhade would, for example. I know I've seen Janemarees and Sarahjanes in professional positions.

On the other hand, it's not really my style. I'd prefer Annabel, or maybe even a hyphenated first name. I really like just plain Anna, too.
