Just after some recommendations as to a good quality mascara. I don't wear it every day mainly just for special occasions or occasional work meetings.
Prefer a quality brand rather than chemist or supermarket one.
I'm after black and one that lengthens lashes I don't like them looking too thick

I've been using Estee Lauder Double Wear mascara in black for about six years, and I find it to be excellent.

It is super long wearing, isn't gluggy or clumpy, doesn't smudge, separates the eyelashes nicely and is easy to remove with soap or facial cleanser and water.

Estee Lauder Double Wear.

I have really long lashes and this is the ONLY one that does not leave me looking like I have been punched in the eyes after a couple of hours.

BEST MASCARA EVER!!!!

I was guilted into buying an Avon one by one of my students... it sat in the bathroom for six months until a 'mascara situation' occurred.

It was fantastic! Lengthened considerably without making them look like a blow up doll and stayed in place all day and all night!

I actually had to ask a makeup wearing friend how to remove it in the end!

I'll be following this thread too. I'm looking to try something new.

My favourite so far is YSL faux cils. Looking for a cheaper alternative.

Mirenesse Secret Weapon. I received a sample in a gift bag about 10 years ago, and haven't used another brand since. You can buy online at http://www.mirenesse.com/. There are a few different types, lengthening, volumising etc... but the thing I like the most is no panda eyes. Cleans off with warm water (you kind of pull it off, it doesn't run).

My worst mascaras ever Were two different types of Napoleon mascara - they were both clumpy, even when applied with a fancy mascara brush. They also dried out and started flaking all over my skin.

I second Avon mascara, I have tried a few types and they always last well and rarely clump.
