So, couple of rec days and I'm in cooking heaven. My little boy has gone back to school and I have baked and cooked like a mad woman today biggrin.gif

Tonight we're having rib eye steaks (bone in) baked in the oven with whole garlic cloves, roast potatoes and steamed beans and cabbage. I'm surfing the 'net for homemade Diane sauce to appease the husband.

What are you having?

Corn chowder. I wanted a nice bread roll to go with it but it started pouring and I couldn't be bothered walking to the shops, so it'll be a piece of toast instead.

Hope you're okay (well, as okay as one can be under the circumstances) purpleblackqueen.

Pizza night at Casa del Countrymel!

I just had to do a mad dash to the bakery to get a french stick....
In about an hour and a half DP will swing up the driveway and we will sing the special pizza night song, he'll then do a "Way of the exploding fist" punch to deflate the dough and it is all on! (roasted eggplant, fetta, spanish onion, swiss brown mushrooms, porvolone, and whatever cured small goods he has picked up from the German butcher)

We love pizza night!

Moroccan lamb with spicy chickpeas. First time I've made it, hope it tastes as good as it smells!
