I will start with my own.

Why is it when you need to talk urgently to your husband about something important that cannot wait and needs an instant decision that the children all decide to come in en masse when they were happily playing outside, arguing, crying and clamouring for drinks, food whatever....

Why is it when I need to make an important phone call DS decides it is time for my attention...yesterday!!! To the point I have to lock myself in the bedroom with him crying and hammering on the door making it very hard to hear the person on the other end....

Why is it that you get stuck at every red light and beyond every old fart travelling 30kms below the speed limit when you have an important appointment across town yet when there is no urgency you can just about see tumbleweeds everywhere?

Any others you might care to add? biggrin.gif

I agree about the phone. The phone rings in this house and suddenly everybody in the house needs my urgent attention. And will scream and yell vocally if they don't get it.

I hate that the other time my kids need my urgent attention is when I go to the toilet. Apparently that 30 seconds of personal time is just inconvenient for them.

I have today and tomorrow to get to the school uniform shop and one of my kids is so sick they cannot stand without vomiting. Of course I don't have anyone easily to look after a sick kid and can't really expect anyone to as they don't want to catch it. And of course another child is starting school for the first time and has no pieces of uniform at all. Sigh.

I will send DH over to train those rogue children. When the phone rings here, one runs and hits mute on the tv and the other turns anything else making noise off.
Don't know how, but DH got them to do it.

Why is it when I get held back at work and don't return home until 2am, DD3 decides to wake up at the crack of dawn, yet when I have an early night and wake up at 7am, she decides to sleep until 11am...

My friends children always manage to hurt themselves in some spectacular comedic fashion when she is on the phone to me!

It is so frequent now that she will laugh when she answers and ponder who's turn it will be this time!

(I mean someone nearly lost a nipple on the trampoline net last call?)
