QUOTE FRANCE on Wednesday announced the suspension of a popular acne drug commonly used as a contraceptive pill after it was found to have caused four deaths. The National Agency for the Safety of Drugs and Health Products (ANSM) said Diane 35, which is made by German company Bayer and licensed in 135 countries, would be withdrawn from sale in three months. In the meantime, doctors are banned from prescribing it. Over 300,000 French women are on Diane 35. The story here |

Last year, I went on Brenda Ed (same thing as Diane Ed just cheaper) for my skin and within 10 days of using it, I had blood clots on, and around, both of my lungs. I'm currently on Walfarin (since mid November) and will be till around May (hopefully no longer as I ended up having to postpone my tummy tuck) Ps. I was on Diane Ed back in the 90's for a number of years and never had a problem. |

Four deaths since 1987.
My Dr moved me off Yazim (had previously been on Diane for 13yrs no problems) as Yazmin had been found to be 4 times more risk for clots. http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/11/07/...E7A66R320111107 This post has been edited by lsolaBella: 31/01/2013, 03:04 PM |
