Hello all,

DH and I are expecting bub #2 and ultrasounds are all pointing in the direction of a girl. We had always agreed that the name would be Mila (pronounced a little like Miller), however since falling pregnant I've gone off it a bit.

So far the names we're considering are:

Emilia
Liliana
Sofia
Mila

And Rose as a possible middle name.

DS is Aleksandar (nn Aleks) and together with our surname sounds quite regal/aristocratic. BTW he overheard us discussing names and now exclusively calls bub Liliana (which DH is convinced I brainwashed him into doing). On some days I like a certain name more than the others, and on others I hate them all. I can't decided!

Therefore, challenge #1 being bub's name needs to be fairly international (i.e. can be pronounced the same in different languages) and match Aleksandar.

Challenge #2 - we have no back up boys names incase bub has been hiding a little secret all these months!

Any help would be much appreciated biggrin.gif

I would go Liliana or Emilia. I think something long and regal to complement Aleksander.

You might also consider:

Emiliana

Eliana

Emmelina

Evelina

Catalina

We just had an Emilia 2 weeks ago, so of course I will say that is my favourite! Goes well with Rose too.

Emilia - 2nd choice, although prefer Amelia spelling

Sorry to be pedantic, but these are not 2 spellings of the same name. Aside from being pronounced differently, Amelie of German heritage (derived from Aemelius), and Emilia is derived from the Latin Emil.
