I'm starting to really fall in love with the name, but not sure which spelling is 'better' (although both are correct). Do you prefer Lucian or Lucien? Do you pronounce it the same whichever spelling you use ("loo-shun")?
Does Lucian/Lucien sound okay with DS' name Leopold? Not a huge factor, but a nice sibset is a bonus And honest opinions guys, it's okay if you hate it, but please be nice! I still haven't run it by DF yet so it may be completely off the table anyway TIA xo |

love the name- its on my list with the Lucian spelling. In my head I've always said Lucien differently (loo-cee-an) but not sure why....
I wouldn't use it with Leopold because the alliteration would annoy me but thats just my personally preference. |

I love Lucien but I prefer Lucius. I am not a huge fan of alliteration so I don't know if I would do Leopold and Lucien but that is just me.

Great name, it's on my list but I havent got a preferred spelling yet. I actually like both pronounciations too and don't think of loo-shun matching either spelling more than the other.

Spelling doesn't bother me, I would pronounce "loo-shen". I like it, I personally am not a fan of the alliterative sibset, but that is personal prefererence.

It seems similar to male dog in French which is 'Le Chien'? Sorry, but that is our friend's dog's name and they seem to pronounce it loo-she-en... Not sure if that is how you would pronounce it?

Thanks for the input guys, been vetoed by DF in all it's pronounciations (loo-shen, loo-shun, loo-chi-en and loo-ci-en) and spelling variations. Back to the drawing board. We're getting nowhere fast with this baby's name
The alliteration is not something I am normally a fan of, but I am so keen to find one name I love that I am prepared to overlook it |

He may be coming around to Lucien with the loo-ci-en pronounciation
